1Level 1

1 year

Elementary Adult Education

English Literacy: reading, writing, speaking, spelling and phonics
Basic Numeracy: counting, addition, subtraction and money maths
Life Skills & Digital Literacy: phone use, basic online tasks and civic awareness

For adults aged 18+ with little or no literacy experience. Three terms of four months.

2Level 2

1 year

Junior Secondary Adult Education

English Language
Mathematics
Basic Science & Technology
Social Studies / National Values
Business Studies or Computer Studies

Builds junior-secondary-level knowledge. External BECE candidates must meet the examination body’s rules.

3Level 3

1 year

Senior Secondary Adult Education

English Language and Mathematics
Six electives from an available pathway: Science, Commercial or Arts
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Government, Literature and more

Supports senior-secondary learning and preparation for WAEC/NECO private-candidate examinations or further study.

Certificates and progression

All programmes are online. Individual learning plans and timetables are agreed with learners.
Eligible learners may receive an ARFET Global College completion certificate. ARFET certificates are not WAEC, NECO or other external examination certificates.
Learners may progress to the next suitable level or explore external examination preparation.

Can I enrol if I cannot read or write?

Yes. Elementary Adult Education is designed for adults with little or no literacy experience.

Is there an age limit?

Elementary Adult Education is for adults aged 18 and above.

Are lessons online?

Yes. A suitable device and internet connection are needed.

Will I receive a WAEC or NECO certificate?

No. ARFET issues its own completion certificate. WAEC and NECO issue their certificates to eligible candidates who pass their examinations.

Official WAEC/NECO certificates are issued only by those examination bodies.
